Cookies on Moochify
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use as few as we can. None are used for advertising, and none follow you around other websites.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask you to pick Accept all or Essential only. Both let you use everything on Moochify. You can change your mind at any time.
Essential cookies
These make the site work, so they are always on.
- Sign-in cookie (floot_built_app_session)
- Keeps you signed in. It is only set when you sign in.
- Lasts: Up to 7 days, or until you sign out
- Sign-in security cookie
- Keeps the Google sign-in step secure. It is only set while you sign in with Google.
- Lasts: A few minutes
- Team sign-in cookie
- Only for the Moochify team, never for visitors or members. It saves our team entering an extra sign-in code each time.
- Lasts: 2 days
- "Are you human?" check (Cloudflare Turnstile)
- On the sign-up, Contact us and waiting list forms only. Cloudflare checks the visitor is a person, not a bot, so those forms can't be flooded with spam. It isn't used for advertising or to follow you around the web.
- Lasts: Only while you fill in the form
- Tester cookie (moochify_preview)
- Lets invited testers see the site while it is closed for maintenance. It is only set if you enter a tester passcode.
- Lasts: 30 days
- Your cookie choice (moochify_cookie_choice)
- Remembers whether you chose Accept all or Essential only, so we don't keep asking.
- Lasts: 6 months
- Session storage
- Remembers notices you have closed, and stops a page refresh being counted as a second view of a listing.
- Lasts: Until you close the tab
Optional: visit statistics
Only switched on if you choose Accept all. If you choose Essential only, nothing extra is saved on your device.
- Visit statistics identifier
- A random identifier used to count visits, so we can see which pages are popular. It records the page viewed, the page you came from, your browser type and language, and a country worked out from your time zone. It does not record your IP address and it is not linked to your account.
- Lasts: 30 minutes after you last used the site
Other websites
The map loads its pictures from OpenStreetMap, and our fonts come from Google. Listings also link to other sites such as Facebook and map apps. Those sites have their own cookie policies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
