About this event
Celebrate Calan Gaeaf, the old Welsh start of winter, with a half-term folklore adventure. Hunt for Tylwyth Teg (Welsh fairies) in the Orchard Garden, race broomsticks in the Cedar Garden and track a mischievous pwca through the mansion. Pick up your guide at visitor reception. On selected days (24, 25, 29 and 31 October and 1 November) there's free drop-in clay modelling in the Orangery to make your own folklore character to take home. No booking needed. Normal admission applies (adult £14, child £7, under-5s free, National Trust members free).
