About this place

The Cardiff Bay Trail is a 6-mile (10km) loop around the Bay that's brilliant on foot or by bike, and it's mostly flat, so it suits all the family. Along the way you'll pass some of Cardiff's best-known landmarks, including the Norwegian Church, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Senedd. Cross over the Barrage, which separates the freshwater bay from the tidal Bristol Channel, and watch the boats go through the locks. Then hop over Pont y Werin bridge to Penarth before looping back round. The waterfront is packed with cafés, bars and restaurants, so there's always somewhere for a treat along the way. Good to know: the trail is free. Download the Bay Trail map from the website before you go.
