About this place

This lovely, easy walk in Abergavenny links two of the town's best green spaces, and it's ideal for a gentle stroll with the family. Start in Linda Vista Gardens, a pretty formal public garden, then head down to Castle Meadows, a big open floodplain beside the River Usk where animals graze. Along the way you'll get cracking views of the Sugar Loaf, the Blorenge and Abergavenny Castle. The route is mostly level and short, so it's great for little legs. Fancy a treat afterwards? There's a coffee shop in Linda Vista Gardens, and Abergavenny's town centre, museum and castle are just a short walk away. Good to know: the walk starts from Byefield Lane car park on Tudor Street.
