Greenmeadow Community Farm on the edge of Cwmbran is a guaranteed hit with the kids, whatever the weather! Meet more than 20 species of native and rare-breed animals up close in the Animal Barn, then wander the paddocks, duck ponds and woodland. When it's time to burn off some energy, there are indoor and outdoor adventure play zones for climbing, exploring and playing. Daily activities, seasonal events and extras like tractor rides keep things fresh every visit. Hungry farmers can refuel at The Farmer's Table restaurant, so you can easily make a full day of it. Good to know: entry is paid, with day tickets and memberships available online. The farm is open Tuesday to Sunday, and it's dog friendly.
