About this place
Push the buttons, pull the levers and get hands-on with science! Techniquest in Cardiff Bay is a science discovery centre that kids (and grown-ups) find hard to leave. There are three floors packed with interactive exhibits to play with and explore. Catch a live science show in the theatre, take a tour of the stars in the planetarium, or join a hands-on workshop in the lab. Don't miss Gaia, a giant six-metre artwork of the Earth on permanent display. There are special sessions for different ages, from Toddler Days for the under-3s to grown-up evening events, so check what's on before you go. Good to know: entry is paid, and tickets can be bought online.
