Ynysangharad War Memorial Park is a big, beautiful green space right in the heart of Pontypridd, and it's well worth the trip for a family day out. The star attraction is Lido Ponty, the restored National Lido of Wales, where you can take a dip in the heated outdoor pools. In the summer there are even inflatable water obstacle courses! Kids can explore the industrial-themed adventure play area, and there are tennis courts for a match too. The Taff Trail runs right through the park, so it's a handy stop if you're out walking or cycling. Caffi Lido serves breakfast, waffles and sweet treats to keep everyone happy. Good to know: the park is free to visit and easy to reach by car, bus or train. The Lido is paid and opens seasonally, so check times before you go.
